I’m shocked that I haven’t done a review on Garlic Gold yet. This is one of my all-time favorites. It is dried garlic in extra-virgin olive oil, EVOO. I use it for just about anything imaginable, even just to put some on a piece of toasted whole wheat bread, as a snack. I can’t think of any way that I wouldn’t use it, except for maybe fruits. If you are a garlic lover, you will love this and never stop loving it. If I could give this product 10 stars, I would.

Wonderful product. Always add to sauces, especially marinara sauce. Adding this to jarred sauces gives them a wonderful boost of flavor. Also add to homemade salad dressings. Yum!

I bought it for applying on my feet, it’s packed in a nice and firm bottle without any leakage. It helped me with stiffness in my feet. The smell feels like pure mustard. For the price point, this is a good product and I’m sure it will taste great when cooked as well.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this Hot & Sour Savory Sauce. It’s one of those rare condiments that is perfectly balanced. It’s not just heat – it has a bright, tangy vinegar note that comes first, followed by a slow-building warmth from the chili, and all of it is grounded by a deep, savory umami flavor.

  • Soup & Broth Enhancer: Stir a spoonful into soups, ramen, or noodle broths to add a layer of exciting heat and numbness.

I bought this for Chinese cooking, but now I add a few drops to everything that needs a flavor jolt. It’s incredible drizzled over pizza, mixed into ranch dressing for a spicy dip, or even on top of avocado toast. The “ma-la” sensation is so unique and addictive. Be warned: it’s quite potent, so start with a small amount. This bottle lives permanently on my dining table now. 10/10!

I’ve tried many chili sauces and pastes, but this Savory Chili Sauce (La Xianlu) is truly special. It’s not just about the heat – it’s about the FLAVOR. The initial kick of clean, sharp chili is immediately followed by a deep, savory umami that makes everything taste more delicious. It’s perfectly balanced, so it enhances your food without setting your mouth on fire.

  • The Classic Cold Marinade:

    1. Cook your seafood (e.g., clams, shrimp, mussels, scallops) and chill thoroughly.

    2. Place the cold seafood in a deep bowl.

    3. Pour the chilled “Lao Zhi” brine over the seafood, ensuring it’s nearly submerged.

    4. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes for the flavors to fully penetrate.

    5. Serve cold as an elegant appetizer or a refreshing main course.

  • Quick Dipping Sauce: Serve as a light, tangy dipping sauce for simply steamed or boiled seafood.

  • Vegetable & Tofu Boost: Drizzle over blanched vegetables like broccoli or chilled firm tofu for a flavorful twist.

As someone who loves healthy, high-protein meals, this sauce is a dream come true. It’s my go-to for a quick, no-reheat lunch. I’ll boil a big batch of shrimp at the start of the week, chill them, and then store them in this brine. Every day, I have perfectly seasoned, gourmet-level cold shrimp ready to eat.
